Note: Our full girls tennis statewide postseason honors package is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 25, but we wanted to release our conference honors early. Here is the publishing schedule: • None Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-State, All-Group, South Jersey Times, Times of Trenton Crawford capped her tremendous four years at Clearview by advancing to the singles final at the South Jersey Interscholastic Championships late last month. Crawford, who earned her 100th win during Clearview’s win over Cherry Hill West in the South, Group 3 quarters, helped the Pioneers make the sectional final as well. Crawford is the third girl and fourth player overall at the school to reach the milestone. Earlier in the year, the senior won her second singles crown in a row at the Gloucester County Open when she defeated Pitman’s Anna Fisicaro in dominant fashion, 6-1, 6-0. She is the 11th person to win at least two titles at the tournament which began in 1985 and the second from Clearview to do so. Crawford also reached the third round of the state singles tournament as well. It all came together for Pitman in 2024. Pitman ended a long drought as it won its first South, Group 1 sectional title in 18 years last month when it downed Pennsville, 4-1, in the championship. Pitman’s first singles standout, Anna Fisicaro, won on the same courts named after her grandparents Debbie and Tom Slenkamp at Shertel Park in town. Debbie Slenkamp was the head coach of the Pitman team that last won a title in 2006, and Tom was an assistant on the squad. Pitman finished the season 22-3 which includes a 7-0 mark in the Classic division of the TCC. Pitman downed many strong teams throughout the fall in Paul VI, Gateway, Cumberland, Wildwood, Woodstown, Moorestown Friends, Delsea and Haddon Township. Fisicaro also made the singles final, and Amanda Bradley/Helena Homann together reached the doubles final at the Gloucester County Open. The N.J.
