Super Bowl champion running back Marshawn Lynch is one of the most memorable stars in recent NFL history. Nicknamed “Beast Mode” for his explosive running style, Lynch helped carry the Seattle Seahawks to victory in Super Bowl XLVIII during the 2013 NFL season and earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selections with Seattle from 2011-14. A collegiate star at California, Lynch was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round, 12th overall, of the 2007 NFL Draft. He also played for his hometown Oakland Raiders from 2017-18.
Basketball Hall of Famer Spencer Haywood was the youngest member of the 1968 U.S. men’s basketball gold medal winning team – and also its leading scorer. Haywood began his professional basketball career with the ABA’s Denver Rockets in 1969-70, when he was named the ABA MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same season. The 6-foot-8 forward/center later played for the NBA’s Seattle SuperSonics, where he earned four consecutive All-Star selections from 1971-74. Haywood also played for the New York Knicks, New Orleans Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, where he won the NBA Finals in 1980, and Washington Bullets.
Kansas City Chiefs star Rashee Rice helped lead the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII during his rookie NFL season in 2023. He was drafted by Kansas City in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Through his first three NFL seasons, Rice has 156 receptions for 1,797 yards and 14 touchdowns in 28 games played.
Two-time MLB All-Star Dee Strange-Gordon played 11 seasons from 2011-22. A speedster second baseman, Strange-Gordon earned consecutive All-Star selections in 2014 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and in 2015 with the Miami Marlins. He led MLB in steals in both 2014 (64 steals) and 2015 (58 steals). Strange-Gordon MLB with 205 hits and won the National League batting title during the 2015 season with Miami. He also played for the Seattle Mariners and Washington Nationals.
Detroit Pistons forward Duncan Robinson is one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA. Robinson made 41% of his 3-point attempts during the 2025-26 NBA season, his first in Detroit, and helped lead the Pistons to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Robinson signed a three-year, $48 million contract with the Pistons in July 2025. He played his first seven NBA seasons with the Miami Heat from 2018-25.
Former MLB center fielder Kevin Kiermaier won four Gold Glove awards in 12 MLB seasons from 2013-24. He played his first 10 seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays, one-plus season with the Toronto Blue Jays and was a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series-winning team in 2024. Kiermaier finished his career with a .246 batting average, 95 home runs and 132 steals in 1,159 career games.
