Sunkins records double-double, Franklin tops Jackson Reed (MD)-Girls basketball recap

Franklin secured a comfortable 61-48 victory over Jackson Reed (MD) in an out-of-state matchup at St. James Fieldhouse in Springfield, VA. Franklin maintained its advantage throughout the second half despite Jackson Reed showing more offensive life. The Warriors outscored Franklin 18-17 in the third quarter, but Franklin responded by winning the fourth quarter 18-17 to secure the 13-point victory. Franklin’s balanced attack featured three players with seven points each: Kayla Duncan, Jamila McRiney, and Alissa Myers. Gianna Mattia added eight points, including two 3-pointers.
