Le'Veon Bell arrested in Ohio, on 'courtesy hold for another agency'

Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell is being held in Stark County jail in Ohio as of Monday, July 20, according to a report from the Canton Repository. Bell was arrested July 19 by the Jackson Township Police Department. He had appeared earlier that day at a Belden Village Mall in Jackson Township for a meet-and-greet event. The 34-year-old is being jailed on a "courtesy hold for another agency," according to an entry on the Stark County Sheriff's Office app's listing inmates. Bell was arrested on a warrant out of Michigan, per Stark County documents. Details of the warrant are not presently known. Bell played eight NFL seasons after being a second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Steelers before skipping the 2018 season because of a contract dispute. Bell returned to the field in 2019 as a member of the New York Jets and also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He last played during the 2021 season.
