Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick offered a strong criticism of one of his players, Bronny James, after a poor performance on Tuesday evening. Bronny, the son of NBA icon LeBron James, has been bouncing back and forth between the NBA and the G-League this season. He got some run on Tuesday night in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, but didn't perform to his best. Bronny didn't score a single point - shooting 0-5 from the floor and 0-3 from 3PT range - as the Lakers fell 118-104. Speaking to the media after the game, Redick didn't paint the most positive picture of Bronny's evening - but he didn't exactly discard him either. 'It just felt like on a back-to-back, just him giving us energy I think was the goal. I maybe put him in a tough spot flying up yesterday and, you know, nationally televised game in Philly,' Redick told reporters. 'He didn't play well, but he's been playing great in the "stay ready" games and he's been playing great in the G. 'So I have confidence in him, but obviously [he] didn't provide that on a high level.' Bronny has played in just 12 games after being drafted 55th overall in last year's NBA Draft. He's currently averaging 0.3 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game - while averaging 2.4 minutes a game in the NBA. Meanwhile, down in the G-League, Bronny has played in seven games and averaged 26.9 minutes a game along with 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. His father, LeBron, led the Lakers with 31 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists in the defeat. The Sixers were led with a dominant performance by Tyrese Maxey - who shot 15-26 and came up with 43 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
