Golden State Warriors center Kevon Looney (illness) won't play Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Dome, according to the NBA's injury report. Already listed as questionable Sunday, Looney missed shootaround Monday morning and was officially scratched in the afternoon.
In Golden State's first meeting Oct. 27 with the Clippers -- a 112-104 loss at Chase Center -- Looney came off the bench to secure 10 points and 11 rebounds while matching up against Los Angeles center Ivica Zubac, who had 23 points, 18 rebounds and six assists against Golden State.
Additionally for the Warriors, star guard Stephen Curry (right knee bursitis) and Lindy Waters III (left knee hyperextension) remain questionable after participating in shootaround. Curry is averaging a team-high 22.7 points (with 43.2% 3-point shooting), 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists. Waters averaged 5.3 points (40.7% 3-point shooting) in his 13.4 minutes per game.
Waters started Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies at shooting guard for De'Anthony Melton (left ACL sprain), who's out against the Clippers. Melton has averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Star forward Kawhi Leonard (right knee recovery) is out for the Clippers.
