Jannik Sinner smashes Novak Djokovic record held for a decade

Jannik Sinner made history at the Miami Open this week, breaking the all‑time record for most consecutive sets won at Masters 1000 events since the series began in 1990. His 6-1, 6-4 victory over Corentin Moutet pushed his streak to 26 straight sets, surpassing Novak Djokovic's previous mark of 24 sets in 2016. Sinner arrived in Miami on a tear, having won the last two Masters 1000 tournaments in Paris (10–0 in sets) and Indian Wells (12–0), without dropping a single set. He matched Djokovic's record with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Damir Dzumhur in his opening match two days ago, and his latest victory now puts him alone at the top of the list. Sitting just behind him on the all‑time list is Djokovic with 24 consecutive sets, followed by Carlos Alcaraz with 21. Djokovic also holds the fourth‑best streak at 19.
