Wisconsin, with victories over Michigan, Illinois, and Michigan State this season, stumbled on Tuesday night with an 86-69 drubbing at Ohio State. The Badgers couldn’t recover from a slow start as the Buckeyes led by 12 at the half and steadily pulled away. Braeden Carrington came off the bench for 20 points, with John Blackwell and Nick Boyd each scoring 14, and Nolan Winter finishing with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Badgers swept two games from the Hawkeyes last season and lead the all-time series 90-87. Boyd averages 20.3 points, Blackwell nets 18.8 points per game, and Winter posts 13.6 points and 8.9 rebounds a night. Stirtz paces Iowa with an average of 20.5 points, while Banks gets 10.7 points and 4.8 boards per game.
