The Washington Commanders have announced the signing of free agent wide receiver Van Jefferson.
The 29-year-old, who won the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 season, left the Tennessee Titans earlier this offseason.
He's now been picked up by Commanders coach Dan Quinn and will attempt to carve out a crucial role in Jayden Daniels' offense.
Jefferson was drafted out of Florida by the Rams in 2020 and spent just over three seasons with Sean McVay's team in Los Angeles.
He started every single game of his second season as the Rams went on to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl at their own SoFi Stadium.
But Jefferson was traded to the Falcons during the 2023 campaign, before playing just 12 games in Atlanta.
In March 2024, he was signed by the the Pittsburgh Steelers and helped them into the playoffs.
He had to find another team at the start of 2025, however, and landed with the Titans on a one-year contract.
Jefferson finished last season with 29 receptions for 350 yards and one touchdown across 16 games. But, on January 3, he was placed on injured reserve with a forearm injury that ended his season.
Now he joins the Commanders' receiving room as they hope to get back on track following a disappointing second year with Daniels at quarterback.
