College football powerhouse hands coach mammoth new $90m contract

Alabama has agreed to a new seven-year contract with football coach Kalen DeBoer that will see him earn $12.5million-per-season. According to ESPN the new deal, which expires in January 2033 and is worth a staggering $87.5m, was approved by the school's Compensation Committee in a meeting on Wednesday. It contains a $10m buyout that runs until January 2027. It then decreases by $2m after each of the next two years.
