British teenager Daniella Britton is just three wins away from the main draw at Wimbledon after being awarded a wildcard into qualifying. The 15-year-old from Bournemouth has been given the opportunity after she won the under-16s and under-18s national championships.
The teenager will now play in a three-round knock-out tournament at Roehampton to qualify. The young star will comepete from Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25 - just one week prior to the championships at SW19. If successful, she would be unseeded and could come face-to-face with some of the world's biggest tennis stars on Centre Court including Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek.
Should Britton qualify, she would be the second-youngest modern-day Wimbledon qualifier behind Coco Gauff in 2019. Gauff reached the fourth round on her Wimbledon debut that year - beating Venus Williams in the first round.
And Britton has opened up to BBC News on what it feels like to be so close to qualifying for arguably the biggest tennis tournament in the world at such a young age.
She said: "I just can't believe it, I haven't even played in a women's pro event yet. I'm just going to bring what I can do onto the court and see how it goes.
The young player will be hoping she can emulate one of her idols, seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, who she said she has been fortunate enough to watch in the past.
She added: "Something about his presence on court, the way he just manages to deal with the pressures and expectations, it's something really to admire."
He said "she is the best" at the moment at her age level in this country and he had "no doubt that she's going to go out there and potentially surprise a few players".
