BAY CITY, MI – A look at the high school girls soccer scene in the Bay City area for May 20, 2026. Bay City area coaches are asked to submit results, highlights and comments the night of each postseason game by emailing lthomps2@mlive.com. John Glenn is on a mission to defend its district title. And Bay City Central could do little to slow Glenn’s title drive. The Bobcats played with a flourish from start to finish, powering to an 8-0 mercy win in their Division 2 district opener. The win sends reigning district champ Glenn (14-5-3) on to the semifinals to face host Mount Pleasant at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Aubrey Moore came up big in Round 1, scoring three first-half goals to stake Glenn to an instant advantage. Bella Snyder tallied two goals in the win while Halie Dora, Ayla Gunn and Abby Cleland each came through with one goal for the victory. Hailey Leasure delivered three assists while Snyder, Gunn, Moore, Dora and Cleland added one apiece. The Glenn defense shined, allowing just three shots on goal. Ella Bailey turned away all three, including one on a penalty kick. Central closed out the season with a 5-16 record. Bay City Western opened Division 2 district action with a 12-0 mercy over Saginaw United. The Warriors (14-4-3) host the winner of Owosso vs. St. Johns at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Essexville Garber built on its late-season rise, rolling past Saginaw Nouvel 9-1 in Division 3 district action. The Dukes (10-7-2) take a four-game winning streak into the district semifinal, set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bad Axe. Garber inched out to a 2-0 lead on Nouvel before erupting in the second half. Gabi Aguirre delivered a hat trick to spark the Dukes while Claire Arnold and Emma Kelly counted two goals apiece. Gracie Socier and Sophia Jezierski added one goal each in the win. Claire Arnold set up three goals with assists and Olivia Aguirre added two. Allie Gaeth, Mya Gwizdala, Iva Bebow and Isla Anderson notched one assist apiece. Bebow and Socier shared time in goal for the Dukes, who dominated defensive behind the work of Gabby Carter, Evie Engelhardt, Allie Gaeth and Olivia Aguirre. Pinconning showed its fight-to-the-finish spunk but closed out the season with a 3-2 overtime loss to Roscommon in Division 4 district action. The Spartans (2-11-7), who set a Bay County record with seven ties on the season, was hungry for a postseason triumph. They took heavily favored Roscommon (9-1-2) into overtime before the Bucks got the game-winner. Elizabeth VanHorn and Abby Grzegorczyk furnished goals for Pinconning. Chloe Drouse kept it a game with a 20-save performance in goal. Beaverton achieved a significant milestone with its 11-0 victory over Oscoda, landing the first postseason win in program history. The Beavers advance to the Division 4 district semifinal to host Tawas at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Emily Skotynsky and Trinity Danielak scored three goals apiece to spark Beaverton. Wren Carland and Piper Carland notched two goals while Macie Minaudo added one. Piper Carland and Skotynsky each delivered two assists in the win.
