Yes, the Knicks have a depth problem. No, there’s not an easy fix

We’re back to the minutes debate. I’m sick of it after four seasons covering Tom Thibodeau. But we’re back here, predictably, because Thibs is Thibs and his roster this season is so top heavy it could tip with a strong enough injury wind. Perhaps this analogy I’ve picked up about Thibodeau describes the situation best: If you give him a life raft to a basketball victory, he’ll use it. If you give him a life raft that’s veering away from victory for the sake of safety, he’s jumping off the other side of the boat without a preserver and probably hollering at a referee on the way down.
