Yankees might reunite with left-handed pitcher

The Yankees are showing interest in left-hander Tim Hill, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Hill signed with the Yankees in June of the 2024 season and posted career-low 2.05 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 35 appearances in the regular season. Over 10 playoff outings this year, Hill allowed just one run. Hill is entering his age-35 season, so the Yankees could likely bring him back at a good price. Currently, Max Fried and Carlos Rodon are the only left-handed pitchers on the Yankees’ 40-man roster. Across seven major league seasons, Hill has a 3.99 ERA over 322 1/3 innnings.
