UFC fans have been left stunned after official confirmation of a brutal snub of one of the UK’s top stars. Mixed martial arts’ premier promotion makes its annual visit to London on Saturday night for yet another showcase of the United Kingdom‘s finest. The O2 Arena card is headlined by a pivotal featherweight showdown between undefeated duo Movsar Evloev and Manchester‘s own Lerone Murphy. Also on the card is long-time UK MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page. MVP will take on surging prospect Sam Patterson in a surprising domestic dust-up at the North Greenwich dome. Fans expected the Battle of Britain to serve as the co-main event of the evening after it was announced. But they were left gobsmacked upon learning it won’t be the penultimate bout of the night. After seeing the finalised main card, one wrote on X: “What happened here?” Another said: “Michael ‘Venom’ Page not being the co-main hurt my feelings? And another said: “Why UFC hates MVP?” SUN VEGAS WELCOME OFFER: GET £50 BONUS WHEN YOU JOIN One remarked: “What they’re doing to MVP is mistreatment.” Another chimed in: “MVP should be co-main, NGL [not going to lie].” Co-main event billing on Saturday has been given to exciting Brit featherweight prospect Luke Riley. The Liverpudlian, a Next Generation team-mate of superstar Paddy Pimblett, is one of the most exciting prospects the nation has produced in recent years. He made a spectacular debut in Qatar last November, knocking out Bogdan Grad with a picture-perfect left hook 30 seconds into the second round. And he’s champing at the bit to prove he’s worthy of his co-main event slot. He wrote on X: “Time to show there’s levels to this s**t! “Can’t wait to fight in front of a home crowd and show why the UFC put their trust in me to co-main on my second fight.”
