LERONE MURPHY had a tense final staredown with Movsar Evloev ahead of their crunch UFC London clash. The MMA leader returns to the Big Smoke tomorrow night for yet another showcase of the UK’s finest. Topping the 2026 UFC London bill is a pivotal featherweight showdown between Manchester mauler Murphy and Russian wrecking machine Evloev. Both men will look to punch their ticket to the next crack at Alexander Volkanovski‘s 145lbs strap later this year. Neither man had any issue making weight at the official weigh-ins this morning. Murphy, 34, came in bang on championship weight, while Evloev tipped the scales at the non-title-fight limit of 146lbs. And the pair replicated their visits to the scale in front of a raucous O2 crowd this evening. Murphy was greeted by scores of cheers as he made his way to the scale, where he drank in the atmosphere ahead of his first main event on UK soil. Evloev, who almost had to pull out of the fight due to visa issues, was jeered as he followed suit a few moments later. And the decibel levels drastically increased when the pair looked into one another’s eyes for the first and final time before they enter the octagon.
