The UFC 308 pay-per-view fight card is nearly upon us. The ESPN+ streaming PPV card takes place on Saturday, October 26, from Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. In the evening’s main event, UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria faces former UFC 145-pound titleholder Max Holloway. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, ex-UFC middleweight king Robert Whittaker meets Khamzat Chimaev in what could be a 185-pound title eliminator. Another potential title eliminator is scheduled for the UFC 308 pay-per-view card. In that contest, former title challenger Magomed Ankalaev matches up against Aleksandar Rakic in a 205-pound contest. Below, we look at the betting odds, line movement, potential prop bets, fight picks, predictions, and more for tomorrow’s UFC 308 fight card. There hasn’t been a lot of movement on the betting line for the main event of UFC 308. When the promotion first announced the fight, Ilia Topuria opened as a -225 betting favorite over Max Holloway, who opened at +175. Today, Topuria is listed at -250, and Holloway at +190. When it comes to bets being laid, Holloway has picked up a stunning 86 percent, while the handle is 50-50 between the two combatants. The betting pick is for Topuria to retain his UFC featherweight title with a decision win over Holloway, who comes into the bout with an impressive list of UFC accomplishments. Robert Whittaker opened as the +150 betting underdog for his matchup opposite Khamzat Chimaev. Today, Whittaker is +200. As for Chimaev, he opened at -185 and is currently -250. Eighty percent of the bets for this fight are on Whittaker, but 61 percent of the money has come in on Chimaev. The value bet here is Chimaev to earn an early stoppage, but I’m going with Whittaker to get the decision win. In a fight that could decide the next opponent for UFC light heavyweight titleholder Alex Pereira, Magomed Ankalaev opened as a -375 favorite over the +280 Aleksandar Rakic. On the eve of UFC 308, Ankalaev is -400, while Rakic comes in at +300. The majority of the bets (73 percent) are on Rakic, while most of the money is on Ankalaev (60 percent). The betting pick is for Ankalaev to grind out a decision. A featherweight contest between Lerone Murphy and Dan Ige saw Murphy open as the -185 favorite over the +150 Ige. Murphy is now a -300 betting favorite over Ige, who is listed at +240. Seventy-two percent of the bets are on Ige, while 65 percent of the handle has gone toward Murphy. The betting pick for this matchup is Murphy to win via decision, but a knockout is not out of the question. The return of the much-hyped Shara “Bullet” Magomedov takes place on Saturday. The undefeated middleweight meets Armen Petrosyan in the UFC 308 PPV opener. Magomedov opened at -185 and he has stayed there. Petrosyan has moved from +150 to +140. Most of the bets are on the underdog (65 percent). Petrosyan has also picked up the majority of the handle at 51 percent. I’m not sold on Magomedov at this point. He’s looked good, but not great. He’ll get tested in this fight. The pick is Petrosyan to win via decision.
