College basketball coach among 2 killed in work zone crash on I-94 in western Minnesota

A college basketball coach was among two people killed in a three-vehicle crash in western Minnesota that also left a woman critically injured, officials said. The wreck occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday in Grant County on Interstate 94 about 5 miles west of the Evansville exit, the State Patrol said. The patrol said that two of the drivers were killed: Koleman John Lind, 24, of Jamestown, N.D., and Harold Ennulat, 73, of Woodbury. Ennulat’s wife and passenger, Kari Ennulat, 65, was taken by emergency responders to St. Cloud Hospital with critical injuries. Harold Ennulat was heading east in the work zone in his Tesla SUV and Lind was going west in a Ford sedan when the two vehicles collided, according to the State Patrol. The driver of a Toyota SUV, also heading east, struck the other two vehicles, the patrol said. The Toyota driver, 63-year-old Debra Lea Middleton, of Mandan, N.D., was not hurt. Lind was a graduate assistant with the Jamestown University women’s varsity basketball team during the 2025-26 season and led the junior varsity squad as well, according to the program’s web page. He played for two seasons at the University of Minnesota Morris after graduating from Pine City High School in east-central Minnesota.
