After missing out on the NCAA Tournament, Baylor and Oklahoma are getting an opportunity to play postseason basketball.
On Monday, both Baylor and Oklahoma were announced as participants in this year’s College Basketball Crown tournament. The tournament, which features eight teams, is scheduled to be played from April 1-5 in Las Vegas. The quarterfinals will be played at MGM Grand Garden Arena, while the semifinals and final will be played at T-Mobile Arena.
The College Basketball Crown tournament launched in 2025. It originally had a 16-team field that included teams from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East, along with at-large participants. Nebraska won last year’s tournament, defeating UCF 77-66 in the title game.
Baylor (16-16) endured some struggles this season, finishing its regular season with a 16-15 mark before falling in the Big 12 tournament against Arizona State. Oklahoma (19-15) went on a positive run late in the campaign, winning two SEC tournament games before stumbling against Arkansas. The Sooners were among the first four teams left out of this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Oklahoma will face Colorado in the College Basketball Crown quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1. Baylor’s quarterfinal game against Minnesota is set for 9:30 p.m. on the same day. FS1 will broadcast all quarterfinal games, while the semifinals and final will air on Fox.
